What should public schools teach our children about sex? It can be a complex question, especially when dealing with morals, social norms, pop culture, hormones and health. When students sit down for their sex education, should teachers embrace an abstinence-only policy?
We agree these forces are too powerful to counter without a strong moral foundation. A good start would be for schools to quit sending mixed messages about what is right when it comes to teen sex, and begin to create a culture that encourages behavior that is best physically, psychologically and emotionally: abstinence until marriage.
